Thanks for a great start to the workshop! It was awesome to meet all of you.
As we promised, here's a short recap of your assignment that we'll be working on for the next couple of days.
- Last night you should have identified some pieces of writing that spoke to you.
- Now we're going to work towards developing one solid concept for a complete card package.
- You will then take that concept to a finished card. It will be fully illustrated, designed and if possible mocked up.
- The lettering treatment could be type set or hand lettered depending on your conceptual direction.
- The way in which you execute your idea is up to you. There are no restrictions on media or approach. Bear in mind that ultimately we would also like to see your results posted on the blog for future reference.
- We will be available to answer questions and coach you through the entire process of creating an AWESOME card package ( as all good art directors do).
We look forward to seeing you again tonight- same bat time, same bat channel.
